Free Social Media Training
Scared of social media? We can help!
We would like to invite you to Luma-IT’s FREE Social Media Training which will take place on Friday 20th November 2015 (9.30am – 12.30pm) at Robertson House, 152 Bath Street, Glasgow..
This session will focus on social media essentials and should be useful to anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of Facebook, Twitter or Google AdWords – and to learn about the features offered to charities. Social media has become a critical marketing tool for finding, interacting and engaging with customers.
No previous experience of social media is necessary (whether you are new to social media or have just started using it) as our interactive workshop will guide you through the steps to success. We will be using live examples from our participants for demonstration, and our aim is for everyone to feel confident about using social media by the end of the session!
The course will cover:
- Why use social media?
- Overview of the different social media platforms
- How to get started – including setting accounts up
- Measuring your effectiveness
- Social media hints and tips
- Case studies and questions
The social media training will be delivered by Paul Rankin of Luma-IT. Paul has over 24 years of IT experience and has been consulting in Internet technologies and solutions since 1997. He is invited by Firstport to lead workshops and seminars on the use of social media, website and cloud computing, and recently spoke to over 200 individuals and businesses at their Fine Tune Your Social Enterprise Event.
Although the course is completely free, feel free to bring some tuck-shop money to support the Robertson Trust’s canteen by buying breakfast/coffee.
